4 Simple and effective ways to detox your mind

Mind and Body detoxification are a perennial need. Each day, we wake up - with a thought, a to-do list, a goal in our mind. We tend to forget our mind and body's need over these hustles. Although minute, they greatly influence how our mind and body works. Today, I am going to take you through ways on how you can positively detox your mind and body.
One of the firsts to understanding detox is knowing what it truly is.
Textbook definitions of detox, are quote to quote, "a process or period of time in which one abstains from or rids the body of toxic or unhealthy substances; detoxification." or "abstain from or rid the body of toxic or unhealthy substances."

Let's take a dig at ways to create a healthy ambient life through mindful detoxification.
When you choose to sit in the same posture, undistracted by the outside world, focusing on your breath, you enter a state of meditative composure. This meditative composure allows you to bridge the gap between your chaotic thoughts and mindful proactive living. Today, choose to be mindful of what you think.
Sit erect, maintain your stance. Breathe slow and clear. Align your thoughts. Don't let external factors distract you. Breathe in... Breathe out... continue doing so for 15 minutes. These 15 minutes will help you choose your tasks wisely. they will encourage you to build up space for productivity and mindfulness, steering you clear from thoughts that take your time, patience and peace.
2. Soothing rhythms.
I have misophonia, meaning, any kind of unpleasant e repetitive sounds can irk me and create a behavioural change. To help focus my mind off these sounds, I listen to soothing meditative music. These music/sounds are available for free on Youtube/Spotify, whatever be your preference.

3. Being gentle to yourself.
There are gazillion thoughts that cloud our mind. Some help us calm ourselves, others work as a storm. However, much to our dismay, these thoughts tend to create a negative space in our mind. They feed off our energy and mental strength too. Today, when such thoughts blur your mind, let them not affect you. Be gentle on yourself. You are yourself as thoughts are to the mind. The brain works in mysterious ways, if you don't let these thoughts affect you, they'd disappear in your sub-conscious. Practising this simple technique can help pave a long and hearty mindful life in the coming years
4. Decluttering your being:
It is imperative to get rid of clutter, be it in your physical space or your mental brain gym. To initiate decluttering, start by getting rid of things that no longer serve any purpose in your life. It could be a broken mug, a torn t-shirt, a toxic friend, spammy email lists, digital apps that you no longer use, subscriptions and memberships that stress you.
For your phone, reach out to the app section in your phone's settings, and click on clear cache for the apps you use the most. This will help your phone function better. Second, delete apps that are idling around in your phone and have not been used since quite some time.
For your home, use the 90/180 day rule, if you haven't used items for 90 days (clothes), 180 days (miscellaneous home elements) then it's best to get rid of them. Stagnant furnishings clog negative energies. Move around items to displace this.
